Fresh pair of eyes needed, 51,61& 71 census
« on: Sunday 01 March 15 01:09 GMT (UK) »
Hi, i am trying to trace census records for my x4th great grandmother Elizabeth Bordell, she was born in Attleborough in 1843 and married Edward Moreton in 1872.
According to the marriage cert her father was William Bordell. My problem is i can't find Elizabeth on the census records before she married.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Jason

Appears on census in 51/61/71 as Elizabeth Bodell:

1851 Nuneaton - ref. HO107 - 2065 - 255 - 299

1861 Nuneaton - RG9 - 2195 - 119 - 19

1871 Chilvers Coton - RG10 - 3168 - 97 - 2

I don't think Bordell is the correct spelling (no birth listed either) as next to none around.   Name either Bodell or sounds like that.

A few years ago, I know, but I am also related to the Bodell family in Attleborough and I’m trying to find other relatives!
Johnson, Crankshaw, Burdett, Shaw, Dawson/Dulson, Whitebread/Whitbread, Drane, Hyett, Holtaway, Thompson, Bodell, Livermore, Gee, Vernon, Smith......the list goes on....and on...and on....
