Ha! Yes - AŁ is very helpful, but it is also invaluable to have people like yourself with alternative sourcing outlets to counteract the sloppy work done by some transcribers, not that I'm tarring them all with the same brush; I am aware it's not easy.
But some of the errors ... come on - they're inexcusable!

Very true - maybe they were having a bad day - You should see how some of my Anstees are mistranscribed - in 1901 Willaim Anstee was listed as Hanmer ;D

Hi just googled Lotts Yard and it brought me yo your message.
My father George Fenwick was borne in Lotts Yard in 1916 and would you believe it number 7!
As his mum was living in Cambridge Street at the time we have always wonder why.
My Dad's grandmother'so maiden name was Ann Chapman Daniels, so that might be the reason
