I have now a  birthdate of 1 Oct 1922 for Edna Elizabeth Bryant
so this is putting the record you found closer,
I will work on your information and try to tie it together.

Edna Elizabeth Bryant
m. 1942 Rufius Rangel at Brentford, Middlesex.
I found his name on the Registers of Electors with Edna.

and a sister....

 Edna had her first child, a daughter, in 1943

Edna E Rangel born in1922 dies in 1982 in Brentford.

And there is a Edna E Bryant born 1922 in Portsmouth mothers surname Quinn

Could her fathers name be Richard? Maybe Arthur G Bryant is another relative?

This Nora Bryant is on the 1911 census in Portsmouth

Were Dorothy, Gerry and Richard older than Edna Elizabeth? If they were born between 1909 and 1922 then it would be hard to get their mothers name on their birth records.

 Edna Elizabeths Rangels 1942 marriage certificate might name the father and mother.

Do you have her 1982 death certificate and it names her parents as Nora and Arthur?

Richard, (Richard Beresford George) b. 1910 d. 1982
Norah L F, b. and d. 1916  ("Dorothy"?)
Gerald (Gerald Cuthbert, incorrectly as "Gerald O" on freebmd) b. 1920 d. 1988

Now, as far as I can see from the free index, Nora nee Quinn and son Richard are on 1911, but her husband was not with them (given their location, possibly he was RN or Merchant Navy?).

I also don't see any Belgian connection so far but perhaps she lived there later in life?

Thank you for the advice about living people... How do I access my old messages to change the text.
I managed to change one, as there was a box to the right of the message next to "insert quote"
but not on all messages.

 I am ordering a marriage Cert.  for
Edna Elizabeth Bryant.....when it arrives I will hopefully have her fathers name.

Maybe  Richard Bryant is the one??   I will let you know, when Cert. arrives

And shows Edna Elizabeth Bryant's father as Richard Bryant (deceased)   Sales Manager

The most likely death for Richard I can see is (http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ )
June quarter 1942, Portsmouth, aged 56 (1886, so just a little older than Nora).

The marriage certificate of Richard and Nora would be the obvious next step in tracing this family back, though.

Hi Decota, I notice you are looking for details/members of the Bryant family.  It looks like we are searching the same family tree. I am the daughter of Gerald Bryant who was the brother of Edna, Dorothy and Richard.  They were the children of Richard and Nora Bryant.

I'm trying to trace their time in Belgium and any information you may have will be appreciated.  If I can help with anything please let me know.
