The BUGGYS from Moneenroe

I am trying to identify My Gr Gr Grparents whom I believe lived around Clogh Co Kilkenny approx. 1820.
My Gr grandparents were John Buggy b 18 05 1851 d 7 7 1910 married to Ellen Keatings b 05 04 1858 (Clogh I believe)   d abt 1915 Moneenroe (I believe).
They were married in St pats Clogh 15 08 1877.
My attempts at St Pat's & Rothes house have failed to give me a satisfactory / believable answer.

The marriage cert should give both fathers names.

Many thanks for speedy reply.
I understood that the wedding took place in St Pat's 15 08 1877.
Yet on Ellen Keating form it shows as period Apr-June 1877

Yes I see your point.  The joys of researching  Nothing matches!  But still close enough for me to think its the same couple  - At least its the same year.  I dont see any other likely options.

The information given in the Civil regs index can be confusing. I have a Death Cert for a granduncle. The information on the cert gives "District of Gowran in the Union of Kilkenny in the County of Kilkenny" but in the index "Event Place" states  "Kilkenny"

Thank you once again for your speedy reply.
I agree with your statement about the joy of researching.
My own definition of genealogy is " the art of confusing the dead and irritating the living"
However I must confess I am not too enamoured with the lack of cooperation I have experienced from the Irish people I have been in contact so far.
St Pat's in Clogh have a family history section " I believe"
When I offered to come over from Scotland if they would allow me to look at the old parish records in my attempt to Identify them. Also to revisit the place where I used to spend every summer
 " The railyard"
I was told to let the lady who runs it, which day I would come and she would give me an hour !
My response for her to do the research for me and bill me for her time, was ignored and never answered.
Anyhow once again many thanks and I will keep prodding away.
This would appear to be the general feeling about genealogy in Ireland. No one seems to be interested.
