Hi MonicaL

Thanks for the link to the possible birth of Andrew Brown (Broun) I will look at this. Looks promising.

Yes, Agnes Bonar used Ann too. Her mother was Euphemia (Euphan) Logan. I have been able to work back from Agnes Bonar and have found some DNA links to her family.  :D

Thank you for your time.

Monica

If one of you guys can link Agnes Bonar's daughter Agnes Brown born c 1825 to a James Izatt born c 1824 (married 5 Oct 1846 Clackmannan [see: https://www.ancestry.com/mediaui-viewer/tree/162190477/person/152141650740/media/db397ece-2208-4f63-96d2-11fa710c32c1]), then they will be my direct ancestors and the profile for[Brown-48044] https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Brown-48044 can be merged with my profile for Agnes Brown [Brown-109516] https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Brown-109516.  I am struggling to work out whether the mother is Agnes Wylie or Agnes Bonar (aka Bonnar).  I have tried to research both possibilities in the past.

Hi I can confirm that Agnes Brown born c 1826 married James Izatt 5 Oct 1856 in Clackmannan. Her mother was Agnes Bonar 1792-1881. I have confirmed DNA matches to Agnes Brown through two of her daughters Janet Izatt c 1850 and Isabella Izatt c 1856. Hope this helps. I'm not sure about your mention of wikitree.

Sorry typing mistake. They married in 1846 in Clackmannan ( not 1856) . First daughter is Agnes born 1847 who married a Michael McQueeney born 1846 in Ireland and died c 1910.

Kenbro, sounds like you have made headway  ;)

Just adding the following death details from the Scotlands People index (original image can be viewed on site):

Agnes Brown/Izatt, mother's maiden name Bonnar
Death in 1884 in Leslie (Fife)
Age 59

Michael McQueeny and Agnes Izatt are my 3 x great grandparents.  Their daughter Agnes born 18/4/1876 married  John McGuin[n]ess (my surname) and then when he died in a mining accident in Blantyre in c 1903, she married a neighbour named Francis Cassidy in 1904.
