Is anyone in Canada searching this family I believe they lived in Quebec at one time
They emigrated from Scotland ...as far as I know they had 3 children
George born 29. 9 .1833..Catherine 2.11.1835 and William born 15.1.1838
not sure if the children were born in Scotland
I have the birth certificate for George

George, Catherine and William were all born in Loth. Their birth records are on scotlandspeople.

I have looked at this before is it because I have McKenzie (Mackenzie )
The reason I have this on Scotland people have the left hand side McKenzie and telling me George son of James Mackenzie


The correct name spelling my name is McKenzie
but my grandfather and his siblings on their birth certificate
from New Zealand are Mackenzie

I wouldn't get too hung up on the spelling. I think that pretty much depended on the vicar or registrar who wrote the records, not on how the family themselves would spell it if they were literate.

There is also a marriage for James McKenzie and Margaret McPherson (not Mac) on scotlandspeople. Did you see that one?

No I don't this family tree was once on Google but who was searching died and a lot of it was mixed up
I have googled it but want to do it myself ...help from Rootschat too
