Margaret Cain
« on: Sunday 15 March 15 21:01 GMT (UK) »
Margaret Cain or Kane was born in c.1839. Her parents were called Thomas and Margaret and they lived in Gateshead. However, I'm after baptism records from St. Andrew's RC church, which is where I assume her baptism would have taken place.

Actually, it's Margaret senior I'm really after. It's her maiden name that I want. Both she and her husband were born in Ireland at approx. the turn of the 19th century.

Any help will be gratefully received. Thanks in anticipation.

Her Mother's maiden name will be on her birth certificate - have you identified that?

You might not find a birth registration; not all births were registered in the early years of the system.

No because it just occurred to me today that by finding Magaret's maiden name I can then start searching Irish records for my family.

Margaret Cain or Kane was born in c.1839. Her parents were called Thomas and Margaret and they lived in Gateshead.

When did mother Margaret die.............her fathers name should be on her death cert. depending on who registered her death & whether the person knew her fathers name ???
