Interesting questions you raise ... & I don't know the answer as to why he was travelling.

My real aim was to find out what happened to Katherine ... I tripped over/into Cobham almost by accident.  All the info I have is in Rogers Family Tree.

Hi

Katherine was young enough to have married again. The SSDI shows 12 Katherine's with the birthdate of 14 August 1913 - just wondered if Katherine had a middle initial ?  Sometimes the US records show a middle initial which would refer to a maiden name. Could only see one that fitted that bill but it turned out to be Regina and not Rogers. (Katherine R. Phares - 87105 Albuquerque, Bernalillo, New Mexico)
Nothing with a "V" either which might have indicated Vandenbergh.  Drawn another blank at the moment I'm afraid.  :'(

Regards
Sandra
