There is also a death record for Edith May Chase -18 January 1896 Concord New Hampshire. Father Bertram F chase and Mother Mary Jane Dobson.

So, all is correct there. Pretty sure that the death of Thomas Dobson that I found could be right, to be confirmed by the burial record.

Nancy came to Montreal then? Another search coming up.

In the 1901 Canadian census, he is a journalier (French).....translation is labourer.

Thanks Sandra for your finds. Sad losing children, just as her mother did. I know that Nancy definitely lost 2 children around the age of 1.

But now I see from your last post that at least 1 of Mary Jane's children lived till adulthood.
