Jenour Family Fortuneswell, Portland
« on: Wednesday 06 July 05 19:41 BST (UK) »
I am looking for any details on the Jenour family who came from Fortuneswell, Portland, Dorset.
Henry Jenour was the 1st vicar of St John the Baptist Church, Fortuneswell. I know that both he and his wife were buried there.

I know that there son William ran a grocer's shop in Portland and that his son William ran the Grove Inn, Portland

Thanks
Jackie

Wow, Thanks Valda

I do have most of this information but definitely not the details on the indency. I have looked on A2A as well. Puts my ggggrandfather in a different light now.

Thanks for all the details

Jackie

Hello, i was just wondering if you know whether Margaret Jenour - (grandaughter) was the daughter of Margaret and Philip Lander.  And also do you happen to know what happened to Margarets husband Philip Lander?!

Hi Sarah
Margaret Jenour is not the daughter of Margaret and Philip Lander. I am certain that they did not have a daughter called Margaret. I think it was the 1861 census that was wrongly transcribed. Showing her as Lander instead of Jenour. I have the original if you want to see a copy.
Philip was boarding in Kensal Green with his youngest son Arthur on the 1871 census.
Philip and Margaret Lander are my gggrandparents how are you connected to them? perhaps we could share information

Jackie
