Thanks Chempat but my free access expired.

It is Thomas Round & Mary Ann Round (formerly Sheldon) i'm looking for in 1841.

I've found a burial for Thomas in 1843 in Woodside(43), the age seems to fit, so was hoping he resided at Woodside.

Thanks

Have you mentioned Thomas (born about 1800) and Mary Ann(born when?) in this thread?

?
Dudley  Hundred:   Halfshire (Lower Division)
County/Island:   Worcestershire
Registration district:   Dudley
Mary Round   47
Richard Round   18
Mary Round   16
Thomas Round   14
Elizah Round   12
David Round   7
Esther Round   5

Do you know if these are Richard's siblings, but would make Mary older than your proposed age for Thomas?

Hi Chempat,

Thanks for the reply and sorry for the late response.

I seemed to have confused everyone by asking for multiple look-ups of 3 generations of family without giving the full facts.

That latest 1841 census you show is correct and those are Richard's siblings.

As you say it does seem to put Mary's year of birth out to something like 1794.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Mymeggirl,

You mention this Thomas Round lived in Cambois, so from that bit of info we must be connected.  So many "Round" families lived in Netherton or Dudley back then, but only part of one family moved to Blyth or Cambois in Northumberland.

Thomas was born 7th April 1855 in Cinder bank, Netherton, West Midlands.  Thomas's younger brother Mark Noah Thomas Round born in 1868 is my great great grandfather.

In 1877 Thomas married an American lady by the name of Mary Jane Tart in Kates Hill, Dudley.  They had lots of children, 8 or 9 from what i can remember.

Thomas and family moved to Cambois in the late 1880's.  On the 1881 census he was a slate setter labourer.

Thomas died 4th September 1920.

I worked extensively on the Round family with another connection to the tree so i can not take all the credit for the information we found.

If you would like to pm me with whatever else you would like to know i would be more than happy to help.

Thank you so much for replying that’s the information I had that Thomas died in 1920 but after speaking to a relative that still lives in Cambois last night she told me that Thomas remarried after Mary Jane died but I can’t find anything at all. So if that’s correct that he died in 1920 he & Mary Jane came back to Dudley?

Hello again,

During the second quarter of 1919, in the District of Tynemouth, Thomas Round married Sarah Bell, of Seaton Sluice.  At the time of his death he was living at 9 New Row, Cambois.

In the details from his will he left a sum of money to Sarah Round his widow.

Mary Jane died in 1916 aged 61.  The death occurred in Morpeth.

From what i have found out relatives seemed to visit the family in Blyth rather than visiting Dudley.

My contact also lives in Blyth and is descended from another brother of Thomas's, Samuel.
