Charles Nelson was baptized Anglican Christ Church Cathedral Actes.  Birth 11 March 1857.  Baptized as illegitimate.  Parents given as James ?amslet and Dianah Kent.
I would love to know who James ?amslet is and why he didn't make an honest woman of her.

Perhaps you can decipher James' surname from this.

Hi
It looks like 'Hanslet?' possibly but hard to see, maybe he was a married man or just didn't want to support her, another mystery unfolds.

Hi Sandra
I don't know who was looking ten years ago but by the surnames it is possibly a descendant of Barbara Coleman and James West. I wouldn't know how to contact this lady or whether she would still be around it is a long time ago.
Thanks again
