Catherine Kingsbury Hedges b 1849 Cardiff

I am looking for the origin of the "Kingsbury" middle name of my Great Grandmother Catherine Kingsbury Hedges born 1849 in Whitchurch, Cardiff, Glamorgan. She married my Grandfather Philip Henry Blakemore in 1871 & a number of their children had the "Kingsbury" middle name? Was is a relatives maiden name? I cant find any referene to it at all.

  Not that I am aware of in my tree, but my Kingsbury clan emanated from Somerset and ended up in Pontypridd!?

Yes they were. Jacob Hedges was b 1812- 1908 & Anne Elizabeth LLOYD b 1819 - 1880
One of their Grandsons was James Kingsbury BLAKEMORE b 1876.
Other Granddaughters were Doreen Kingsbury BLAKEMORE b 1906 - 1993 &
Kathleen Kingsbury BLAKEMORE b 1914 - 1920 - both were my fathers sisters (Philip Henry BLAKEMORE)
The name has carried on down to my Sister Jean Kingsbury BLAKEMORE & my cousin Mary Kingsbury HANCOCK.
I would love to find the source.

A Catherine Kingsbury 72 born in county who was married to a widowed Jacob 29th July 1815 Whitchurch
Catherine in 1841 is on HO107/1415/ 16/12 /15 and newly married Jacob & Ann plus Richard are with Lloyd relatives on HO107/1415/ 16/9 / 10
So a Kingsbury living almost next door, have you checked this Catherine out?

Catherine Kingsbury was buried Whitchurch St Mary 24th July 1845 aged 76 abode Forest Farm

Catherine Hedges was not given a middle name at baptism 24th February 1850 Whitchurch Father Jacob Mother Anne, the same day as a Rachel
