Lookin in Yately Berk.
« on: Thursday 16 April 15 21:50 BST (UK) »
Hi guys,
I'm curious about an uncle of mine.
William Justice.
Born: 1882 in Yately Hampshire (Sandhurst)
Father was Thomas Justice - B:1853 D. 1900 In Berkshire Chosley Lunatic Asylum
Mother was Louisa Justice - B:1857 D. 1945
We found William in a 1891 census with Louisa and siblings Dora (my G. Grandmom) and Henry, he was 9 at the time, after that, he just disappears.
Not sure if you guys would have any luck,
Thanks a bunch,
Indigo

Does Louisa marry James Andrews (in 1901, so late marriage?), and William is shown as William Andrews in 1901 from Hawley Hampshire?

Added: Ancestry has William as age 14, but could be 19 from the image.

That marriage would have been after the 1901 census if I am looking at the right one?

Sep 1901 Farnham
Louisa Justice
Samuel Andrews
William Pell
Mary Yearsley
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

Hi, No, Louisa Married Samuel Andrews (1852-1911) at Farnham Surry
They Married about 1901
Louisa did marry a William Gates in 1915 (Jan, Feb or Mar, of that year). in Easthampstead, we think that Gates died about 1922.

I do not think that Louisa married James Andrews, as there is a Louisa and James in 1891 census.

(I know 'my' proposed marriage was after the 1901 census - that was why I said a late marriage.)

Added:
Sorry, I am mixing my Samuels and James's.

My mom also said we have a letter from a relative in 1949, that states that Will lived not to far from London, We also think that he served in the Military and was in WWI.
