Well..have done a bit of searching..came up with letters to the Armed Forces..on lost property..Arthur George Adams stated he turned 60 in 1974.. was staying at Campbell House Rehab..Sydney..and declared he was an alcoholic, unemployed, but had been driving trucks  over the past three years. Checked census..found an Arthur Adams..truckdriver..living at Pacific Highway..Wahringa  NSW.(1972C)
The Arthur Adams (above address) with a Margaret Adams..1980 C..occupation Driver...did he remarry?? Is this my Arthur George Adams ??
I obtained a death certificate..Male 52 years ?? unknown..DOD 30th November 1982..Rozelle Hospital..NSW.(Asylum for mental disorders) .all details of him unknown....died from asphyxiation on a piece of orange....Inquest held at Glebe NSW 
I am not 100% sure this is him..but as a result of all the above. I find that its almost impossible to locate him with positive proof...
As a result, I feel that to continue this with no proof of person would be counter productive...
The Arthur Adams...married to Kathleen Ethel.. of Bondi NSW is not him.... ..If anyone comes up with anything of interest that would be great....many thanks to all who helped...Dalek xx

Hi,
Very frustrating for you that the certificate had so little information.

Arthur ADAMS  was not with Margaret ADAMS  on the 1972 Electoral Roll (By the way- that is what it is, Electoral Roll, not census)

He only appeared in 1980.  Impossible to be conclusive about him, but this man may have been her son a brother or a husband.

My inclination is towards the man at Campbell House as his age is correct and the later years in an institution fits with family story.

Sue..I agree about the Campbell House  as I found a letter in an old case which mentions Campbell House...so that one is a positive...
re Electrol Roll...I realised that after I forwarded it off, but as you said, no proof that its him...I doubt very much he remarried..From what I heard from his sister, and his problem with rehab...this seems unlikely
I feel I have reached a "dead end" in proving which Arthur George Adams is the real one..as there are many...as you said   frustrating...who know what we may find in the future..any clue would be a appreciated....thanks "muchly"  for your help..

Im back again with another mystery....  I cant find the births of George Silverton Adams and Mary Jean McDonald,s children...on other sites....Most of the members don't have their fourth child...In order.... Alma Jean Adams..DOB 1911..DOD 1986.
            Arthur George Adams..DOB 1814..DOD ??
            Robert Leslie Adams..DOB 1916..DOD 1987 at Whyalla. SA
            Winifred Joyce Adams  DOB 1918.. DOD ??
The reason I have these dates is from a family book..I have no proof, ie birth records.etc ... They are not recorded on Ancestry as far as I can see....only Robert Leslie Adams death record...if anyone can find them I would be very pleased...Dalek
