That death date  20/9/1984 is incorrect .......I received a document  from the NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages  Registration Act...(Quote)  I hereby certify that a search has been made in the Registration kept by me but no trace can be found of the Registration from 1980   to  1989 inclusive of the death of Arthur George Adams who was said to have died on the 20th August 1984..

Dale have you have made an error with the date.

According to the transcription of Arthur's death notice, he died on 17 Sep 1984 and to the ESP database, Arthur was cremated on 20 Sep 1984.

You can search for the exact date of his death on NSW BDM.  I only bothered to narrow it down to the month of September, 1984.  Database is down this weekend.

Information on death certs only as accurate as the knowledge of the informant so having father Ernest may be an error.

Ryerson Index also have the death notice on their index...details posted above.  I do wish people would post sources of their information ::)

http://www.ryersonindex.org/

Dale you could request a copy of the notice be emailed to you.  Here's the link
http://www.ryersonindex.net/request.php

Perhaps a transcription of that cert would help you.  There  may be other identifying information on the death certificate eg place of birth etc.

Scroll down the page to Transcription Agents and their contact details.

Reply to Cando...The Arthur George Adams who died in 1984..was married to a Kathleen Ethel Curtis..in 1940..they resided in Bondi NSW up till abt 1968...so that rules him out...
The Arthur George with a father  "Ernest" is also ruled out...I have contacted the NSW  BDM and asked if they can help, giving them dates etc...waiting on reply...  One address if found  is 19 Villaroy St. Hampton Victoria... 1942.. with my mother.. (1942 C)
There was another address on Vic Census..1947  148 South Road brighton..with my mother..that is the last known address I have of him in Victoria...
Going offline now...many thanks to all.... :)

Dale,
I would suggest you follow the leads I have given about the probable nephews of Arthur George at least one of whom is apparently still in Nathalia.

This line of investigation may yield a bit more useful information than record searches are doing at the moment. There may at least be a recollection of approximately when Arthur died and where.

Sue... I contacted Richard Murrell..spoke to him, and he knew nothing of my father... what happened or when he died.  His mother Joyce Winifred lived till she was 90...strange to talk to a cousin who you never knew...anyway, he is going to contact me if and when he finds any information..thanks you Sue for that..great..even if it come :)s to nothing.

Well,
You have followed up yet another lead and if you persist perhaps one day something will come to light.
