But Edward "Ted" Keed was born 1882/3 so maybe Frederick G Keed born 1858 could be suspected of being his father since he is the only son alive at the time?

Is that bad of me to suggest? He would have been about 25years old then #new theory to be proven?

Fredrick G Keeds first child from his marriage to Elizabeth Twohy (1883) was born in 1885.

Also

Frederick G Keed's child Mary E Keed (b1885) was registered in Narrandera
then by 1887 when the next child Isabella Keed is born she is registered in Junee.

Percy H Keed (Is this Harold Pearce Keed?) born 1906 is registered as born in Narrandera to Edward Keed and Pheobe.

That is a nice 20 year gap if Edward was born around/in Narrandera?

If his mother was full aboriginal then did she have to legally register his birth?
#mystery?

This to me is the most likely scenario..
Although Edward was born near Condobolin and when I googled the distance between it and Narrandera it is only 2 days walking .. So this to me seems like we are almost there!!
Surely these names in the same area can't be just coincidence??
It depended on if you were under the Aboriginal protection act or what station you were born whether you were registered or not! Also the child always took the mums name, hence; Brown known as Keed.
Thank you All so much !

By the way Yes, Percy Harold Keed is my Grandfather Harold Pearce Keed.

I've contacted the Shire Council of Condobolin- they said there is no Albert cemetery at condobolin! But there is one in their shire which is Albert cemetery at "Albert NSW"
It's possible that the funeral directors came from condo and then registered the death there, also giving the wrong spelling for KEED.
At least I know where he rests!!
It would have been nice if his parents names where written somewhere?
I just need to find a connection now to Frederick G. Keed ... Lol

The most likely place to find his parents' names, as previously mentioned, would be on his marriage certificate to Margaret Coe.

Phoebe Gibson's (possible) birth is listed on the NSW historical births index, with parents Pearce and Emily.  This seems to be a likely one given that her son also had the middle name "Pearce".  Pearce may be "Pierce Gibson" for whom there are several references on Trove: http://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/ including his refusal to allow his daughter Martha to marry in 1904.

You should also ask for a search of the "Bringing Them Home" index, perhaps that will turn something up:

Sorry, how did PEARCE/PIERCE become BROWN?  When was Edward known as Edward BROWN?

I have Keed/Keid ancestors from the Isle of Man but I don't think it's a Manx surname they probably came over to the Isle of Man from the north of England.

Pearce was a Gibson, father of Pheobe "Edward Keeds" 1st wife. They had a son Harold Pearce Keed.
It is only Edward "Ted" Keed who is apparently a Brown(e) known as Keed..
I can only assume his mothers name was Brown.
My brother had mentioned we were related to a Paddy (possibly Patricia) and Carl Brown of Yass area, but I've had no luck finding them - possible birth around early 50's or late 40's
