Many thanx for your help - The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) lists only those fatalities who are buried in War Graves (abroad) administered by CWGC. So if he died, say, in a hospital in UK, he won't be listed in this site.

Any other ideas?

The Commonwealth War Graves doesn't only list those who were buried in war graves either at home or abroad.  It also lists those who were buried in normal cemeteries (here in the UK) or with no known grave including civilians and some who had already been discharged from the services prior to death but who had seen some service (not necessarily active service) in WW2.

Best wishes
