James "Jim" Twomey born Newry 1914

I know he was born on 13 April 1914 in Newry and played football for Newry Town, Leeds United and Ireland but i don't know who his parents were!!
I've not done any research on people from NI before and wondered if anyone could give some pointers on where to look for more info.
