Owens of Llanwenllwyfno
« on: Friday 08 July 05 11:48 BST (UK) »
My ancestor Griffith Owen who fought at Trafalgar and his sister Catherine were both born in Llanwenllwyfno near Amlwch in the 1780's.  Does anyone know how to go back further?  I have looked in 1801 census but unfortunately it only gives Head of family names and there are three possible Owen families.

Hi,

you'd have to check the parish registers. They are all archived in Llangefni, where you can either check them out yourself or, for a fee, they will do a look up for you. Half an hour is about 15 GBP I think.
