1861 census Frances MALTBY
« on: Wednesday 20 May 15 23:20 BST (UK) »
Hi all
I am after the household of Frances Maltby in the 1861 census. She was born in Winthorpe Lincolnshire around 1800-1810.   I think that she may have been a widow.
Thanking you

Hi chempat
Thank you for your reply.  I have her living with a John Chapman in 1871 whom she married in May 1871.  I was  interested in knowing if she had any children from her previous marriage living with her in 1861.
Thanks

Hi chempat
No I do not have the 1851 census.  I think that she was with a William Harness born around 1804 Burgh and their first child George christened 1828.  He died Sep 1850.  I can't find a marriage for them.
Thanks

Why do you think Frances Harness becomes Frances Maltby?

Presumably this is 1841?

1851  ?
HO107  2110     68   7
Spilsby   Burgh
Frances Harness   44
William Harness   16
Thomas Harness   13
Fanny Harness   10
Mary Harness   8
Harriet Harness   6
Jessy Harness     3

An ancestry tree has her as born Frances Veal - which would explain the name of one of her sons.
