Obituary 1973 for clues?
« on: Thursday 21 May 15 07:52 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find a branch of my family who were in Wokingham in 1973.
Douglas Frederick Richards died 1 September 1973 and was living in Batty's Barn Close at the time. The informant was his married daughter.
His wife had predeceased him.
I cannot find the marriage details for the daughter.
I'm hoping that more clues could be gained from an obituary in the newspaper.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Gratefully,
Hilary

Is the daughter still living?

RootsChat has a policy of not naming living, or potentially living, people.

I have no idea whether she is living or not. I will modify the post.

I have found the 1945 wedding, the 1946 birth, but not the 1973 death. Hmmm!

You can't see the death on FreeBMD - as it hasn't been transcribed yet!

BUT, you can see it on Ancestry and FindMyPast ;D

Ahh well, and here's me thinking that everything was transcribed up to December 31 1983.
I learn every day.
