Gilmour/Duffy of Bonhill,Dumbarton

Hi, looking for anyone who may have any information about Hugh Gilmour (d.1927), his wife Alice Duffy (d.1951), and their children Rose Ann, John, Hugh, Silena,Elizabeth, Alice & Mary. They resided in Alexandria,Bonhill,Dumbarton,Dunbarton from the time they were married in 1898. I have the births of all the children but that is it. Looking for family relations,info on what happened to all the children etc.Any help at all. Thank you, Kim

Don't know when the children were born but using the free index on Scotlandspeople there is a John Gilmour(mother's maiden name Duffy) death 1977 , Vale of Leven Dunbarton , born c1901.

Also a Mary Gilmour(mothers maiden name Duffy) death 1975 Vale of Leven Dunbarton , born c1912(Other surname Black).

Hi, Ev and Aghadowey thank you for your responses. I do have the censuses and am trying to find info which is more recent. The 2 deaths will give me a starting point. Thank you both, Kim

Your original post gave no idea of when any of the family were born (even though you said you'd all the births for the children) so I filled in that information so that anyone reading the topic could get an idea of the time period involved.

As the children were born 1894-1911 or so you will need to search for possible deaths, marriages, etc. on Scotland's People website.

I came across an online tree which went into quite a bit of detail but there may be others.
