COMPLETED Need help getting death records
« on: Tuesday 26 May 15 00:20 BST (UK) »
I am needing someone to get 2 death record for me from Dublin South. If you can do it please let me know and how much it costs for you to get them and send me them via mail. I live in Illinois in the United States. Please include something for your time as well. The records are for:

Percival John Reddy Birth Mar 1894 in Dublin, Ireland. Last known address was 129 Templegue Rd Dublin, Ireland. Maybe still alive.

Eleanor Maude Reddy (McDonald) b. Birth 12 Nov. 1867 in Claire Street Limerick, Ireland. Last known address was 36 A Leeson Park E. Dublin at Molyneux

Percival is my Grand Uncle

Eleanor is my Great Grandmother

If still alive I would love to hear from them.

Many Thanks

Kevin

You can order Irish certificates yourself  :)

If Percival was born in 1894 he's most unlikely to still be living and Eleanor born in 1867 certainly would have died long, long ago  ::)
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Percival and his wife Eileen Hayes married 1920 appear on the register of electors from 1941 to 1949 suggesting that he may have been out of the country before 1941 or elsewhere in the country, the fact that there is no apparent record of the family after 1949 possibly suggests a move elsewhere  back to England ?.
He appears to have two relatives Ronald and Dorothy living with him you have to be 21 to appear on register so Ronald first appears in 1949 born circa 1928 if a son .
possible birth for Dorothy

There is also an Elizabeth Hayes staying at that address might be a sister to Eileen she reappears at that address from 1962/64

...Percival John Reddy Birth Mar 1894...(119)
...Eleanor Maude Reddy (McDonald) b. Birth 12 Nov. 1867...(150)
If still alive I would love to hear from them.

Presumably you mean if there is family alive  ;) ;D

Also, if you post or fax the application for certificates you can ask for the reply by email for copies
The GRO replies quickly and charges €4 /$4.40 approx. per certificate for a copy
They accept credit cards
If you require an official certificate it will cost slightly more and will only be sent by post

Link to the baptism of Percy REDDY in 1898 with his birth in 1894
It shows his parents as John REDDY and Maria (surname not given)

I see that Eleanor married John Martin REDDY Dublin South 1893 Q4 V2 P598
Her name is shown on the Civil Record as Maud Eleanor which may account for the mother's name
as Maria

1911 census - I don't see them on the 1901 census return

Your last address for her as Molyneux in Leeson Park was a nursing home
(mainly for the blind in the 1950s)
The Register of Electors shows her subsequently at St. Mary's Convent, 95 Clyde Lane 1955-56, 1956-57
LINK
Unfortunately this is around the time that online civil records cease

Based on electoral register finding that dathai made
showing Percival and Eileen had a child listed to vote with them in 1949-50

I found the birth of Edward H R REDDY 1925 Dublin South Q4 V2 P374
and a marriage to Prudence D Mulvagh in 1951 Dublin South Q3 V2 P715

There is a family tree on line (a***.com) for this family showing no parents
however it refers to Edward as Edward H R “Ron” which may make him Percival's son.
This must however yet be proven

His son Roger died in 2010 the death notice gives more information on the family - LINK

Ron died in 2012 - LINK

If you are attempting to contact living children these notices imply that there are some possible grandchildren of Percival REDDY still living.
Therefore in line with RootsChat rules I am not naming them

The Presbyterian Church in Dun Laoghaire may be able to help as both funerals were from here – LINK
