Not sure if it's just me or the gremlins are out and about today.

Tried to use the Rootschat shrinklink - put the url in and clicked to shorten but the box is then blank

Curious if anyone else had the problem

Very occasionally, I have found url's that would not shrink using the RootsChat shrinker. But I've just now tested two links and they shrank with no problem.

Ok - thanks for checking Erato. The one I was trying to shrink came from the Toronto Star - perhaps that's why

I was just going to say the same. You were probably just foiled by ionizing radiation from a solar flare or some such.

RootsChat Shrinklink can't handle certain characters very well - for example, I've had problems with commas in the past. If these characters are ASCII encoded (as they have been in your tinyurl link), then it will work.
