All I know is that William was "out on his own" and "it would be safer for her to be admitted to the care of Barnardo's" --also that henry was not her sister's father --as Charlotte "quite friendly with the men".....

Do you understand what I was meaning by the phrase "quite friendly with the men"  --I don't think that Henry wanted anything to do with Katherine....

;D Yes indeed, so why was Katherine Maude still with Charlotte in 1911 by the looks of it and not Daisy or was he unsure of who the father was in this case?

PS you really need birth/marriage certificates for Charlotte and James/Jane!
