yes on the 1901 census sarah is written as 70 and 1911 she is written as 74.  her kids birth days are well wrong also.

The 1918 death may well be her (I have not seen it yet).

James and Sarah had a son called John in 1865 !!!

I'm sorry but I very much doubt your theory of her being 12 in 1865 is adding up now !

could well be but the strange thing is that james already had a son john from first marriage - unless he died.

Lavey records appear to be sporadic !

They only being in 1837 ~ just say Sarah WAS 70 in 1901 then her baptism won't show on rootsireland.

1839 - 1852 is missing.

I would well imagine that YOUR Rose was born during this timeline (based on the b 1842 d 1918 death) when unfortunately there are no records for the parish.

It's very possible the first John died.

It was common for a later child to then be given the name !

Thank you so much for pointing out the issue with the records being incomplete in that timeframe. that certainly could explain things.

You can go and tell your relations that they heave a sigh of relief  ;D

Sarah was at least 21 when she married and had her first child in 1864 / 1865
