Hi, I am looking for other information on my 3x Great Grandfather John L.F. Voigt born 1830, last I found him living in Newark NJ in 1910 where he was living with his daughter Mary Roder (born 1859). Any other information would be appreciated. Who was the mother of Mary?

This is where the wrong information comes from - you have quoted him on the 1910 census.  ???
We can only help if you give us the correct information. If you would like to start again and give us the birth year of John and details of his wife Annie it would help. When was your 2 x great grandfather William born ?

One Anc tree is giving the parents of William born 17 th February  1863 in  Manhattan, Kings, New York, USA   passed away  July 15, 1921 in  New York City, Kings as Joseph Voigt and Johanna  ???
William's mother was thought to be Annie Balzer - Johanna must be Annie ?

If an Ancestry tree is citing the parents as Joseph and Johanna when the son's marriage record calls them John and Annie then the tree doesn't seem worth taking much notice of.

Lurke, regarding John - where does the middle name Ludwig come from please?  It does not appear in William's marriage or death records re his father.  Does it appear in some other record which you have, and if so what is that record please?

Here is the Voigt/Balzer marriage - Manhattan, 10 June 1862:

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:248M-2PS

Johann was 41 and a widower, Anna 31 and single.  William probably already on the way.

I know this seems strange but John was 80 years old living with his daughter Mary G Roder in 1910 Newark area. he was a widower as well then. I would like to find out who Mary Roder (Voigt)'s (born 1859) mother was it also Annie, I don't think so because he was a widower when he married Annie according to what you have here. his full name is/was John Frederick Ludwig Voigt or  John  Ludwig Frederick Voigt  born 1830 in Bavaria, Germany. I have no other info.

his full name is/was John Frederick Ludwig Voigt or  John  Ludwig Frederick Voigt  born 1830 in Bavaria, Germany. I have no other info.

But this (birthdate) can't be right, because your John/Johann was 41 when he married Anna Balzer in 1862.

The family you found in 1910 with Mary G Roder has been traced back earlier in the thread, and (you said yourself) was not the right family.

So it is back to the drawing board and your research will require careful tracing from known records.

What is the source for the name Ludwig please? We have seen middle initial L in the 1862 marriage but if you know this was short for Ludwig you must have access to records you haven't shared with us.

In that 1910 census that you quoted, John was born 1830, and his daughter was Mary A or G born 1858 - is that correct for them?

Have you found your family in any of the censuses?

The marriage posted to Balzer gives a birth year of 1821 for him.
