looking for info on George Burrows from Liverpool

I am looking for any info on my father-in-law, his name was George Burrows born 16th sept 1903/4 all we know is that he was born somewhere in Liverpool, we have reason to believe he left a wife and children behind when he left liverpool and moved to the London/Essex erea about 1940, We tried to find a birth certificate for him but we have so little to go on,
Any info or tips would be great,

Hi Jackie,

The FreeBMD is still being compiled,  so it is possible his record is not in the index yet.  Also you should bear in mind that the dates given are the quarters in which the birth was registered,  not the birth date.

Hi Ange, Thank you for taking the time to do a search, There are a couple there that could be him,
Is the county of Lancaster in Liverpool ? ( I was never any good at geograhy ).

The county is Lancashire and both Liverpool and Lancaster are in Lancashire.
