Hello,

I'm currently researching for a heritage project for the Nottingham Caribbean Carnival and would like to connect with people who have either been involved,  participated or supported the carnival in any way from the very first Nottingham Caribbean Carnival in 1958 that took place in the Meadows,  to the present day.

Organisations that supported the carnival include:

- The Ambulance service
- Nottingham Police
- Players factory ( Imperial Tobacco)
- The Cattle Market Slaughter House
- Sherwood Rooms Nightclub

Perhaps you worked for one of these organisations and participated in the Carnival?  Perhaps you sponsored the event?

We are especially interested in hearing about any personal memories,  memorabilia photos and footage.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Sophia.

It would probably be better for you to contact the local paper in Nottingham and get a piece put in there.

Thanks,

we are doing some local publicity,  but it seemed like this site might have been a good place to also post the information to.

regards,

Sophia.
