Hi again just had another look for Charles Salkeld and his voyages, in fact the 24/6 1955 voyage to Rio with Irene did not take place with Charles shown as Director in fact on the 20th August 1955 a Charles Robinson b 1/2/1907  occ Engineer travelling with an Irene b 19/9/1914 same address as other cancelled voyage, Southampton to SANTOS Brazil 20th August 1955 on Vessel Andes
Her name is clearly Irene?

Hi all the death of Irene Mary Robinson looks right so what I have done on my Ancestry tree MichaelJordan385 is posted her as born that date in sept 1914 in England under the maiden name of Smith.  I think she may have been travelling with her eventual husband as an expediency.  This weekend I might check out the smith line on Ancestry.
Bye for now good luck with thanks galore from Mike Jordan in Worcester

Hi All, First search I have tried using Ancestry is the registration of Irene Mary Smith's birth (knowing the exact date but not the location) no chance unless someone knows for sure?...
Maybe I should wait for contact from one of my cousins.
Thank you anyway from Michael Nield Jordan

Hi you mention the death of Irene Mary E L Robinson , so what is so wrong with the marriage , who was with Charles S Robinson on that voyage in 1930?

How are you so certain her maiden name was Smith, maybe she was a Widow , maybe Charles S was a Widower , I repeat if you truly wish to locate Irene then purchase that marriage certificate,   attempting to complete a tree with possibly incorrect information from other trees is not the way to go.
£9:50 for that certificate will supply so much information including potential witnesses etc

Hi All,
I have taken someone's statement that a Miss Smith Married a Mr Robinson at face value linking her full initials to a Mrs Robinson who died in Taunton 5 or 6 years after Charles Salkeld Robinson.
Personally I would rather go back to having my distant cousin being married to someone nee Mary no surname born c 1915 according to that passenger list.

When I buy marriage certificates from Ancestry the charge £22 and they don't check the male's full birth details (they sold me one for a Charles Stanley Robinson)

Ancestry throws multiple registers at its customers without regard to which are least likely to produce results.

Other than repeating that I am MichaelJordan385 and welcoming information is there (and I'm asking a beginner's question) any way of posting the key names of my family tree on RootsChat
Thank you so much from Mike

Hi again, sorry put down incorrect price for a certificate, it should be £9:25 from www.gro.gov.uk also UK marriage certificates do not provide detail of birth.

OK let us forget about the Charles b 1/2/1907 and Irene b 19/9/1914 and their voyages.
