William Robert Allison help
« on: Wednesday 08 July 15 23:37 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could ehpl me find this person.

William Robert Allison was the son of William Allison and Eliza(beth) Love, she goes by Parker too.
I know nothing about William apart from his birth in Glasgow on Nov 16 1873. hes on the the 1891 census being with his mother and her new husband in Glasgow but I cant find him on the 81 census or the 1901 census or 1911. I cant find a death or marriage certificate too which makes me think hes moved abroad or down to England. On ancestry it says there is a Robert Allison in the place he was born in 1881 and there a same guy in England with a wife Mary Ann in Linconshire but my ancestry is playing up and wont let me access them. Would be good if you could help me find some info on him and his family if he had one or a death or anything on him, hes the only lead I have for my line of allisons dating back 3 generations cause the rest of the male lines either died young or had no children and the 4th generation going back were all girls and married,

If added this to the Scottish forum too

apologies I have just found the record on my computer of the 1881 census for William, had it saved under another name. David is his half brother. their mum was married 3 times and had children to all of them.

I cant find William on the 1901 census or a death or marriage cert for him

there is no david Allison. William and elizabeth only had one son im sure and that was William. elizabeth had a son david mckechnie who was 12 in 1881. on the 81 census he is down as that.

Think you have the wrong family
