They may have married in a hurry. William was baptised only three months later.

When did John marry Mary Ann - had he been married before?

If Emily has the certificate it would be interesting to know who the witnesses were.

I do indeed have the marriage certificate to hand.
It is dated March 17th 1848 between John Cotton and Mary Ann Webb. John is a bachelor. They were married in Allesley. There is no father mentioned.
They were married by license, which I am also interested in.

The witnesses were William Nightingale and Emma Clifford.

I am looking through my research to see if I have looked into the witnesses before as I am picking up my research where I left off a few years ago.
