Looking for Charles Livermore senior in 1871
« on: Sunday 12 July 15 15:51 BST (UK) »
Charles Livermore married Winifred Eaton on 24 August 1884 at St Andrews Enfield. he named his father as Charles. He was 19 making his year of birth about 1865. I can trace Charles (jnr) and Winifred on several censuses and although his year of birth varies by a couple of years, his place of birth is always Edmonton. The problem is I can't find Charles, with father also called Charles on 1871 or 1881 censuses when he would be most likely living with his parents.

has anyone a sharper pair of eyes. please

There is of course the possibility that the 'Charles' shown as father on the wedding info is incorrect, and repeats Charles Junior's name in error.

Have you got Charles' birth certificate?

Apparently

Charles Livermore
Year:   1866
Quarter:   Apr-May-Jun
Edmonton
Middlesex
Volume:   3a
Page:   169

Which would of course confirm his father's name

I've found the marriage for this couple, he was Charles Robert Livermore and their marriage was registered Q3 1870, so little Charles would be born before they married. I can't find a registration for him, not as Livermore or Munns.

Added
I think he was registered as Walter Charles Livermore Q1 1871 and should be 2 months not 2 years, which would tie up with a baptism in Feb 1871 of a Walter Charles to Charles Robert and Sarah Ann Livermore. dob is given as 24 jan 1871
