William Labbett - Bastardy Bond

Hi,

I have recently found a record for my 3 x Great Grandfather which indicates that he may have been born out of wedlock (to coin a very old fashioned phrase!!)

William Labbett's baptismal entry shows the following information:-

Eggesford, Devon 1813

Aug 15th - William son of Eleanor Labbett a base child - a single woman

I have found a subsequent marriage for Elinor Labbett to a John Bullad married by banns on the 21 April 1819 in Eggesford.

Is there anyone who may have access to the Devon Records Office who would be able to see if there is a Bastardy Bond or other record for William's birth.
