London baptisms are listed up until 1906, to search further you need to look in the original registers lodged at the LMA in London

Hi. I'm planning to visit LMA next week so I'll have a look

Will probably only have time to look at All Saints, Poplar specifically, though

Hi,  Thanks for that.  At least if you don't find the baptism at All Saints, Poplar, then it is one I can eliminate. The family were living across the road from that church, so should be there. Thank you. :)

Good news - I was able to get to LMA today, a week early
Bad news - I didn't find any Dorrell baptisms between 1917 and 1921, let alone Alice
Semi-good news - I'll still be going next week so if you'd like me to look at a) a longer timeframe or b) look at up to 3 different churches, then I'll be able to do that...

Thank you very much.  Her parents were married at St Matthews, Bethnal Green and the family moved back from Poplar to Bethnal Green at some point, living on the Boundary Estate.  So maybe worth giving this one a try.

Do hope you managed to find what you were looking for in your own research. :)

Will do.

A good half of my lot are from Middlesex so there's always something else to look at, but I made some progress...  :)
