WILLIAM GREENLIES :1821 CENSUS?
« on: Sunday 10 July 05 20:26 BST (UK) »
Can anyone tell me if there is an 1821 census?

I have query!
My 4x great grandfather William Greenlies died in 1823.  He married Elizabeth Peat in 1804 at Inveresk, Midlothian. William was not born in the Midlothians, and this is my problem. I am trying to find out who his parent's were. I have the parish entry for his marriage, no age is given and no parents are listed, not unexpected! I know that early census material would not necessarily state where he was born, but it could indicate his age which would help me narrow down where he was born and who his parents were. There is no age at death given on the parish records, or parents or spouse, but his occupation was given as weaver. Can anyone help me please? ???
