There is a William Douglas Janvrin Vincent (bn 1907) moving back and forth from Singapore (according to passenger lists on FindMyPast) if that gives another avenue?

Is this the son?

Le Geyt and Janvrin - LE GEYT, GEORGE JANVRIN 1953
info, early 19th century
Le Geyt is quite an important family in Jersey
Mary Anne Hawkshaw Heath (the Heath family - Heathiana)) married John Charles Frederick Vincent, and his brother (Frederick Augustus Vincent) married Amelia Janvrin, daughter of Daniel Janvrin (I think, the banker). Well Mary Anne Hawkshaw Heath's grandfather was Admiral William Heath, and his daughter (MAHH's aunt) married George Le Geyt (to be Admiral) so there's a bit of a link between the families.

That's my grandfather, who went out with his brother and worked for Fraser and Neave, he was out there for a while including as a POW.

Looking at the Friedberg side, was Agnes' father Julius who died in 1895? Do you have a copy of his will (probate to widow Eliza) or that of his wife (Eliza d. 1905 probate to Eliza Phillips wife of James and Alice Lock wife of Lindley)?

Ordered, will have to wait and see... worth the £20 if it tells me something new

I received the wills and Julius' will does little except give everything to his wife, whereas Agnes' will (written after Julius' death, 3rd Jan 1897) leaves things to her daughters (Eliza, Harriet, AGNES, and Alice) and son (Charles). So she is alive, but she was not the executor. There are a few left  off, which I haven't followed up yet but based on the 1871 census, the ones in bold were not listed:
Julius Friedberg   62
Eliza Friedberg   48
Julius P Friedberg   21
Harriett Friedberg   19
Agnes Friedberg   17
Clara Friedberg   15
Florence Friedberg   11
Alice Friedberg   8
Charles Friedberg   5
Gertrude Friedberg   1

Will need to find these people (/deaths) next.

I think Florence might marry Jun qtr 1882 Croydon 2a 448 to either Jonhn O'Brien or Harry Stevens (Julia Collins is the other female on the page)

Clara married Walter Edwin Champion and appears on the 1891 census with him at 31 Queens Road, Hornsey.  They have a 12 year old Percy B Friedberg with them, listed as a boarder bn in Marylebone
