George Luce du Pré

Hello, I'm stuck in Australia waiting patiently for my grandfather's birth certificate to arrive via post. I applied via the gov.au website and paid to have it posted over but the process is all electronically automated and I'm worried I'm waiting for a certificate that's not coming. I'm also having trouble getting through to them over the phone. Is anyone here able to help me? I need the certificate to apply for a UK ancestry visa. His name was George Luce du Pré born in 1896 in either Jersey or England (I think it's England but he for some reason wrote on my dad's birth certificate he was born in Jersey). His father was also George Luce du Pré and his mother was Kate Waters. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your help although I'm a little devastated . One issue is I'm not 100% sure if his name will be spelled du Pré, du Pre or Dupre.

Thanks so much for your help. When I requested his birth certificate I spelt his name du Pré so there may be a problem and it might not be in the post . I have emailed them and now waiting waiting waiting...
