baptism lookup Mary BELCHER Little Milton 1791

Would it be possible for someone to lookup the Little Milton parish registers to see if there's a baptism for Mary BELCHER around 1791? (I have that date and location from her age in the 1861 census).

Little Milton PR's begin in 1844 before that records were held at Great Milton.

There isn't a suitable Mary and nothing in 1791 but there is a Mary Anne baptised on 16 Aug 1795 and recorded in the PR's of St Marys Church Great Milton where it says she was the d o Nathaniel and Hannah Amelia of Little Milton and I reckon thats yours?

Yes, I think that Mary in 1795 sounds pretty likely, especially as she had a son Nathaniel.

And that marriage certainly sounds right too, are there any other details?

And could I impose on you to see if there are any other Belcher siblings baptised at Great Milton that might look like they're from the same family?

There is a transcribed will on the OFHS site for Nathaniel Belcher, whose wife is Hannah Mealy, at Little Milton, so the right marriage. Shame the will doesn't mention any children.

Sadly not much additional info on that marriage, the marriage was after Banns, they were both declared to be of this parish, the wits were: John READ & Rachel READ

I'll have a look for any more children next

Siblings for Mary:

All the details are the same as for Mary, i.e records in Gt Milton and family living in Little Milton, church, village and parents except for the 1st one where it says his Mum was Amelia

I went up to end of 1814 and no more.

It looks as though the children survived childhood because I don't see any same names in burials. But there was quite a period - relevant to your search - when ages were not entered, even so as I say I am quite confident they survived childhood.

Have you got Mary's marriage - at Gt Milton?

10 July 1806 to William Saunders of Little Faringdon, Berkshire (now Oxfordshire since 1974) by License.
She was under 21 yrs of age but married with her fathers consent. Wits; Grace BELCHER, Sarah BELCHER, Elizabeth SAUNDERS, Leatitia CHERRILL

Your last post does cause a problem though, as my Mary BELCHER married John CHERRY at Albury in 1812 and lived in Tiddington then Ickford. In the Ickford 1861 census her place of birth is Little Milton and age 70 (in 1851 census she's 57 and born Oxon).

Do you think the 1806 marriage could be another Mary Belcher? She is a bit young, even with father's consent?
