What does it matter who my relations are ?

Hi there,

I support the comments already made in response.   May I further add .....

I wonder if you have considered that the persons you have named may well have living descendants, living friends, living retired workmates?  These people may well one day use Mr Google and easily find this very thread ....  I wonder what they may make of your post.

I also wonder if you have considered that when I posed my question "how is this chap connected to your family tree?" that I may well have further information about a possible shared ancestor, and I am simply being very careful and exercising a duty of care .... that of protecting the expectation to privacy of the individual of several my living elderly relatives who may share an ancestor or three with those King lads ....

Good Luck with your family history seeking.

Cheers,  JM

Death notice of Elma may provide information of cemetery and if Reginald was deceased or living at the time of her death.

Aussie-girl,

May I please mention that your replies are simply not making good sense to me.

While I can clearly see that you are not interested in checking if your KING ancestors may share ancestors with several of my elderly relatives, I am astounded at your reply to Cupoflife's information re Reginald's wife.

Cupoflife's post gives you the Queensland BDM death cert reference, the date, the name of her parents, and the clues that you could use to check the Death notice for cemetery info and the death cert could well inform you as to if Reginald was alive at the time of her death.

You can check Cupoflife's post simply by using Qld BDM's own search engine.  And from there you can even use your plastic card and immediately download the image of that dc, for $20.00 .

According to a Metropolitan Funeral Director's Register Reginald King died or was buried on 27th January 1990 age 93.

The same register had Elma May King as 25th Dec 1974 age 83.

Maybe contact Metropolitan Funeral Directors to find more information re the final resting place.
