John Britten - Maria Carter

Help needed please to find parents of John Britten c1813 and Maria Carter c1816 both born in Berkshire proberly Reading area as they were married on 31st.January 1836 at St.Mary reading.

There's a baptism for a John Brittain at St Laurence, Reading on 4 Oct 1808 son of William & Sarah. Perhaps too early?

There's also a baptism for a Maria Carter at St Giles, Reading on 28 Oct 1821 d/o Robert, a harness maker of London Street, and Susannah. However this would make her very young to have been married in 1836 unless, of course, she was a few years old when she was baptised.

Thanks Jill, maybe a bit early as you say. Possible parents of Maria yet to confirm, Thomas Carter 1787 and Anne Saunders 1791.

On FamilySearch there is a Maria Carter bapt. 12-3-1815 Reading St.Mary d/o Thomas & Ann.
This seems to tie in nicely with your suggestion (c 1816).

also there is a marriage for Thomas Carter to Anne Saunders 15-7-1810 in reading, Berks

Thanks for the info, that's what I've been following up and it seems to work ok. The problem is now with John, seem to have hit a brick wall.
