George Gilbert Noble - Ellen Greene - Marriage

Im new to this site. iv been trying to do my own research via familysearch and the National Achieves.

Im trying to find a marriage certificate George Gilbert Noble and Ellen Greene.

George was born in Scotland (I have his death cert) died in 1914. Im assuming Ellen was South African born however I cannot find any details of her accept her signature on the death cert.

they had from the death cert 6 children.
Dora Ellen
Mary Josephine
Jane Ruth
Charles Forrester
Robert Allen
George Gilbert

Id be ever so grateful for any assistance on any of these people

Were all the children born in S Africa?  Any idea roughly when the eldest was born?

hi, all the children were born in Port Elizabeth but I don't know how old the eldest is for sure. the death cert doesn't give ages/births. George Gilbert was born in 1834 based on the death cert saying he was 80 years old when he died if that helps at all?

That's ok, so we're looking for a marriage some way back then if George was born 1834. 

I wonder if they were married in Scotland then emigrated?  Might be worth checking there if you haven't already.  Children may have been born in either country - or both!

The death certificate actually says they were married in PE it has a name but the handwriting is terribly hard to read.
