The burial is there as I typed for an Alice in 1699, there is no more info entered to give a clue - so who was she - if the other Alice married John Gilkes? Can't help anymore with this one chap

The marriage in Swacliffe was on Oct 5 1703, the transcribed PR states

GILKES John of Burdrup
ANDERTON Alice of Tadmarton

No other info on the marriage I'm afraid

Looking at the Burials, Baptisms and Marriages no other Andertons in Swacliffe but there are literally pages of GILKES. However searching from 1700 to 1740 I do not see any baptisms of a GILKES to a John and Alice.

There are pages of GILKES burials in which there is one Alice GILKES buried 28 June 1717 but no add info to identify her.There are many John's so thats something you may have to explore further?

One Anderton marriage an Elizabeth on 5 Sept 1742 by Lic to Thomas Austen. That license may be deposited with the Oxfordshire County Council Archive at St Lukes, Cowley, Oxford - worth a shot?

Robert is still alive in 1684 so the burial date given for him appears to be incorrect

I doubt the entry is incorrect, more likely it was another Robert but who is not clear for sure.
