marriage question
« on: Monday 11 July 05 20:22 BST (UK) »
hello all,

I am looking for the marrige of my great grand parents, David Lawson, and Margaret Bruce. I have been unable to find anything so far. As I do not have access to subscription sites, I have not been able to check any of them.

If anyone can offer suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.

The only dates I have for them are:

David - dob 1869
Margaret - dob 1872

My grandfathers birthday is 26 nov 1891.

Again, thanks for your help.

Brian

I did manage to find one match on scotlands people site for them marrying between 1880-1890. It was not in Angus however.
My subscription has expired, so i oculd not check this for you.

Are you unable to use this site also?
Perhaps anyone with credits left can check for you.I also checked LDS and found nothing there. Checking for the birth of Brian there were 2 matches for the birht year of 1869 and several for the years either side of this.
are you positive of the year or are you estimating from the census or another source?

Checking margarets there are 5 possible in the exact birth year you mentioned in Angus.

You can check them online www.familysearch.org

Hi Amanda

The dates I have were supplied by an uncle. I am guessing that they are accurate. The only confirmed date I have is that of my grandfather. This I obtained from his headstone, and his obituary.

As for the pay site, I don' t believe in credit cards, so I cannot access any sites like that, or like Ancestry.

Again, thanks for your help.
