Wills from HMCTS
« on: Wednesday 19 August 15 09:29 BST (UK) »
Hi can anyone advise me, I have ordered a will and have an e-mail stating order delivered. I clicked on the link bringing me back to the website, I had to sign in and under my wills there was no 1 in brackets. There was nothing to open so does this mean the will has been sent to me or that they have received my order

When you sign in, and look at your orders. It will give an estimated date for delivery. When the will is ready, you will get an email and you can then log into your account and view your orders. (My Wills tab at the top) Click on the one that is ready, the link should be highlighted for the download.

Note: there is a time limit on how long the will is available, I recommend you download asap.

The delivered will should have the persons name, date of order and final date of availability.

If you do not have that then click on the contact us tab and advise the probate service that you are having problems accessing the will, there may be something wrong their end.

When did you order the will? it was taking around 2 weeks at the beginning of the online service.

Thank you for your reply, is it normal to send an e-mail that says order delivered?

yes, it is.  If they have fulfilled the will order. The will should be available in your account.

I don't have any current orders waiting, only expired orders so I can't check.  Is there a + sign next to the person's name?

Last time I ordered a will, it was ready to download in about 4 days. It is then available for 30 days, but they send you a reminder in good time to allow you to save it if you haven't already done so.

Try logging out and logging in again, that might clear any bugs in the system.

Looks like you are still waiting for the order to be fulfilled.

If the will was ready, then there would be dates in both delivery and availability.
Check back again around the 24th.

They've been whizzing through will deliveries for quite a few months now so to still be waiting is a bit surprising to me

Here's my latest history:

Ordered                            Estimated              Delivered
14 August 2015 REEVE      29 August 2015     17 August 2015
11 August 2015 COLLINS   26 August 2015     13 August 2015
27 July 2015 COLLINS        11 August 2015     28 July 2015
22 July 2015 COLLETT        06 August 2015     24 July 2015
15 July 2015 SPOONER       30 July 2015          20 July 2015

Of course, it doesn't help if they don't reply to your emails - did you use the HMCTSWills@ironmountain.co.uk address rather than the aptly-named no-reply@probatesearch.service.gov.uk
