Location map required for 41 Dorrington Street, Medlock Street Ward, Manchester.

As the title suggests, I'm looking for a map showing the whereabouts of this street in the Township of Hulme, where one of my ancestors lived in 1867 and if someone can give me a link it would be appreciated.

I realise that the area has probably been long swept aside and redeveloped but would like to have a map showing where it used to be. I have spent some time looking at the online resources but just cannot pin down this address!

According to an old thread (2007) on RootsWeb, Dorrington Street was 2 streets south of Warde Street?

Try using http://manchester.publicprofiler.org/beta/

On a modern map, look for George Parr Road and Ormsgill Street.
Dorrington Street ran east from what is now Ormsgill Street, just from the LL of "Ormsgill".

It ran under Archway, just under the large word "Hulme".

I found it using the 1920 overlay.

I have been looking at various sites with Manchester maps and haven't come across this one you mentioned. The ability to overlay a variety of historical maps is very helpful.
