Could anyone tell me what Parish this is please?
I thought it was KENTON but there doesn't seem to be a parish of that name.

There's a Kenton in Gosforth parish?
"GOSFORTH parish comprises the townships of East Brunton, West Brunton, Coxlodge, Fawdon, North Gosforth, South Gosforth, and East and West Kenton."

Or Kenton in Castle Ward, Newcastle Upon Tyne? (Not sure if that's the same?)

Why do you think it is a parish? See Kenton on the map http://maps.nls.uk/view/102346461#zoom=5&lat=2564&lon=7292&layers=BT

Yes, it is the same  :)  Castle Ward is the registration district and Gosforth the Parish.

Not sure it looks like Kenton to me though  :-\

Hi Stan & KGarrad,

Thank you to both of you for the information and the map, helped me out a lot.
I didn't know if it was a parish or not, all I knew was I couldn't find it.
Now I see that it is only as couple of miles out of Newcastle it makes sense to me now.
In all the documents I have for this woman she never says anything but she was born in Kenton Northumberland.
So I suppose I just assumed Kenton was a parish in Northumberland, no wonder I couldn't find it,
when there is no parish of that name.

Thank you both
Geoff

Maybe Newton but looks more like Kenton. You would have to put it in context with the rest of the families info.
