Births in Yokohama, Japan - Johnstone Family

Im trying to trace some family members who were born in Japan between 1871 and 1883.

I have very few details about their birth years:

Alice Mary Johnstone Abt 1872
Halbert Russell Johnstone Abt 1874
Ralph Johnstone Abt 1876
Robert Johnstone Abt 1878
Bruce Johnstone Abt 1879
Sybil Johnstone Abt 1880
Harold Johnstone Abt 1882

Their parents were Robert Johnstone and Isabella Atkinson Halbert. The parents were both born in Scotland and appear to have returned there before 1891 as thats when Robert died.

Any suggestions how to find birth/baptism records for the children?

I found the memorial for Halbert (Boer War) lastnight plus references to his death and also the land grant for his war service. I couldnt enlarge the family plot photo to see where the other family members died. One son fell overboard and one died in the Boer War. Both parents deaths I have.

In 1867, Robert Johnstone from the branch office in Manila, Philippines, was commissioned by John H. Findlay (Findlay, Richardson & Co.) to establish a branch of his company in Yokohama. The branch was opened in Yokohama # 12 but shifted to Yokohama # 7 in 1869. From this date on he became head of this branch. Until 1890 he always worked for this company, afterwards he is no longer listed in Japan. His wife and daughter also lived in Japan.

I just used the zoom setting to enlarge the monument photo and only bits that weren't too clear were a few of the numbers. 
Left side- Sacred to the memory of Robert Johnstone. of Yokohama, Japan, who died at Castlebank, Ecclefechan, on the 27th August 1891, aged 52 years. and of Ralph Johnstone, son of the above Robert Johnstone, who was lost overboard from the Barque Anderinha [?] of Liverpool, off the Scilly Islands 26[?]th October 1894 aged 18 years. Dearly beloved and longed for.
Middle- John Nicholson, Provost of Arran (died Moffat) & wife Margaret Johnstone (died Annan)
Right- Isabella Aitkinson Halbert widow of Robert Johnstone who died at Ayr [?] July 1934 aged 82 years.

Robert Johnstone "merchant Japan" & wife Isabella were back in Scotland in time for the 1901 census- staying at Annan with her mother Alice Halbert & 2 of the children- Alice M (13), Harold (9) both born Japan. Son Bruce is in Perthshire (went to Canada in 1920) and Halbert (17) is a clerk in Glasgow.

In 1901 son Harold is a pupil in Surrey.

As was the custom, the children were probably sent back to Scotland for schooling. In 1881 Alice M. ( is with grandmother Alice Halbert, Halbert R. (7) is with their paternal grandmother Jane Johnstone.

Have you checked to see if births and death for the children were registered overseas? (think FindMyPast has this database but not sure of years covered and of course not all overseas deaths weree registered with the local consulate at the time the event happened).

Bruce Johnstone by the look of it was married 2-3 times and emigrated with his mother to Canada. He also received a land grant from his brother Halberts estate in Canada. I cant find his death there though.
