Albert James White
« on: Tuesday 22 September 15 10:16 BST (UK) »
Hi all, I am having difficulty in tracing the birth of the above. I believe he was born on 27/12/1912 and was (according to him) within the sound of the bow bells, but i cant find anything on him. The 1911 census shows his family living in Kentish Town. His mom was Martha and his father was either Alfred Thomas White - sons marriage certificate or Thomas Alfred white - 1911 census. Apologies if this is obvious but having been searching for it for a while now I have gone index blind.
Thanks
Al

I did see that one and to try and add a bit more strength to it i tried to find a marriage between AT or TA White and a Martha Atkins and that hit a dead end, I like to get a bit more certain before I order a certificate but not having much luck with this one.

If Albert was born AFTER the 1911 census, and you do not have his birth cert, how do you know that the family you indicate from 1911 are his parents (and siblings) ?

What other info do you have on him?

Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

The OP refers to  Albert James  White    saying that  his  parents were Martha and Thomas Alfred/Alfred Thomas, so  I assume  that's the family in 1911

I  can see  from  that census Martha  is  much younger than her'husband'     maybe  there was  no marriage  if AT/ta was already  married ?

But how is it known that his parents were Alfred Thomas and Martha?

OK, father on marriage cert was Alfred Thomas. But without further info from some other source, it is a big jump from the name of a father on a marriage cert of Alfred Thomas White, to claiming a family of a Thomas Alfred White and his wife Martha as being the right parents.  Not unusual names.

Thats why I asked what other info there was.

If there isnt any, then the birth cert is a must to establish his parents, before searching for people who may or may not be them!

It could be them?
Death,
June 1983 Birmingham
White, Albert James
d-o-b 27 Dec 1912

Birth,
Sep 1864 Totnes
White, Alfred Thomas

and possible death,
June 1940 Birmingham

age 75

Any clues from the Birmingham electoral rolls that are online?
